bubble tea

i tried my hand at making bubble tea. it seemed simple enough.

1/2 strong iced tea
1/2 milk (we used vanilla soy milk)
ice
sweetener of your choice to taste
cooked tapioca pearls

everything was great BUT i think the tapioca wasn't right. the bag had no english on it. so, i looked online and followed that.

any help?

it was a hit otherwise.

no joke

Please do not make my food allergy into a joke. I don't find it amusing. Nor do I like having food shoved in my face with the "yum. Don't you wish you could have this?" Haha deal. I'm a grown woman. And, I'm stuck with this. it wasn't a choice.

getting older/allergies

it seems the older i get the worse my allergy gets. I've had 2 major attacks in the past month. definitely not something i need. it seems they find different ways to list it in the ingredients.

finding foods

I've lived in Lexington for about 2 months now. while this is a largish town, it's definitely not Orlando/Kissimmee. finding vegan/dairy free foods are very hard. the whole foods is about 1/3  the size of the ones in Orlando and a lot more expensive. the super Kroger has a section for special diets. but, it's mostly just organic. makes finding foods a hunt. not bad. just interesting. at least, I'm pretty much downtown.
